  • How do we receive confirmation that an order has been placed on our website?
    • This is a common and the most popular questions. Any customer that inputs a transaction for approval will be assigned a sequential sales order number from our system, whether they are approved or declined. In addition, if you are unable to retrieve any information, our online merchant accounts reports capture all information about the transactions stored by sequential sales order #’s. That way you will see any order you are missing.

  • Why does an Ip address get blocked?
    • When there are multiple decline attempted transactions or a fraudulent transaction from a certain IP address, the bank will block the IP address for any transactions. The bank does this to protect you, the merchant, from experiencing fraudulent transactions, which ultimately limits your chargeback exposure.

  • Will the customers be redirected to another website?
    • Yes. The customers, when placing orders, will be redirected to our secure payment page to ensure that their payment details (card, name, address, etc) are kept secure and confidential.

  • Can I process on my website?
    • We offer several options that will allow you to process credit cards through your website. These services will integrate with your website to allow real time transaction processing, and also include a virtual terminal that will allow you to manually process transactions through a secure website.

    • A payment gateway is an online service provider that provides the technology for the authorisation of debit and credit cards.  The technology provides a connection between a merchant’s business website and the acquiring bank as well as providing the functionality for other services such as MOTO and other payment service solutions.

  • How do you handle credits and refunds to customers?
    • All credits/refunds are handled by Merchants directly. These will occur if the merchant account holder is unable to deliver a product or service, has over-charged or agrees to refund a customer. Merchant can directly process a refund/credit to the cardholder from our online payment portal. A credit or refund can only be done for a transaction processed through our system. The amount cannot exceed the original amount.

  • What happens if I don’t ship items for which a customer has paid?
    • You will not be paid out. You must supply customers with products/services before payment is rendered. If you attempt to wait for payment prior to shipping out a product, your account will be disabled

  • What is a chargeback?
    • A chargeback is when a credit card transaction is billed back to the merchant after a sale has been settled. Chargebacks are initiated by the card issuer on behalf of the cardholder. Typical cardholder disputes involve product delivery failure or product/service dissatisfaction. The merchant’s acquiring bank will charge the merchant a fee for the retrieval of information, and if it is determined that the chargeback is valid, there will be another fee for the chargeback itself. The customer will be refunded their money directly through the credit card company and the merchant’s business checking account will be debited for the amount in dispute.
  • How can I avoid chargebacks?
    • Make the warranty and return policies clear on your web site, in your e-mails and other communication vehicles. Use security features such as AVS to verify the billing address and ZIP code, and CVV2 to verify that the consumer is in possession of the card. Ship goods only to the cardholder’s billing address and obtain a signed proof of delivery from the shipper for delivered goods. Include a customer service telephone number in the billing name that appears on the customer’s bank statement. Never charge a cardholder’s card until the goods have been shipped. Pay special attention to international purchases since they have a greater risk of credit card fraud.
